Land and rail mobility

Le Mans, Sarthe, Atlantic France

Project start date : 2018

Project owner(s)

Mission H24 is aiming to have hydrogen-powered racing cars participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Eventually, a category will be dedicated to hydrogen for a zero-emission competition.

Like the many other technologies launched and tested at Le Mans in the past, this challenge will accelerate the research and development of this energy source, from the track to the road.

Since the project’s launch, several stages have been completed and 3 models have been produced and are taking part in various exhibitions and races before official participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Project completion scheduled for 2026.

Progress of the project

  1. Prototyping phase (feasibility, design)
  2. Industrialization phase
  3. Series production/operation phase
